Merica began very simply, when, in 1997, I decided to make natural personal care products for my family. I started making soap and then slowly added other personal care products. |
| I loved the way the natural products felt on my skin, leaving it supple and moisturized. My hair benefited as well from the shampoo bars and herbal rinses I used. Natural deodorants, moisturizers, face make up, bath products and perfumes without harmful additives, petroleum products or talc filled my cupboards. Friends and family benefitted as well. |
The demand for my natural products increased and in addition to selling my products through word of mouth advertising to firiends, Merica Natural Beauty Products became on online business. Finally, to make things easier for people to drop in I opened a store. Merica Natural Beauty Products is located in Summerland, British Columbia, Canada, in the heart of the wine country, in the Okanagan Valley.
